U Film Festival

 

The U Film Festival is a national annual TAFE and University Film Festival. It is organised by the Australasian Association of Campus Activities (AACA) who run similar activities such as the National Band Competition in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

The TAFE NSW state-wide winners for the 2008 U Film Festival are:

1st place - Lyn Hope for her film Legal Speed.
Legal Speed follows a family obsessed with Speedway Car Racing. The Wiblens spend every weekend on the track or fixing cars.

2nd place - Dan Gray for his film Where’s Ben?
Where’s Ben? Is a Mothers story of the search for her missing son.

3rd place - Max Little for his film Favourite Things.
Favourite Things is a show and tell of keepsakes and memorabilia; what’s important and why.

All three films are documentaries produced by students as part of the Certificate 4 in Screen at TAFE NSW – North Coast Institute, Grafton campus.
