Orientation Program
An orientation session is held at each TAFE NSW campus before the start of each course.
The orientation provides information about the campus, living in Australia, the range of services available to international students, and information about who you can contact if you need help during your stay.
You will also be introduced to your International Student Coordinator and will meet other international students who are starting at TAFE NSW.
It is very important that you attend the orientation session as it will answer many of your questions, help you settle into your new environment, and help you get the most from your studies.
You should arrange your flights so that you arrive in Australia at least a week before your course starts so that you can attend the orientation.
Orientation sessions may vary depending on the program developed by each campus and will include:
- Welcome and introduction to the campus
- Campus tour
- Enrolment procedures
- Visa regulations
- Information on counselling and career services
- Study skills
- Student support services
- Accommodation information
- Library resources
- Medibank
- Banking
- Local places of interest
- Lunch
