Booking Your Flights
You can confirm your flight to Australia as soon as you receive your student visa. Flights before the beginning of each semester (December to February and June to July) can be heavily booked so you should make arrangements early.
It is a good idea to arrive a week or a few days before your course starts so you can settle into your new surroundings. It is also very important that you attend the orientation session for new students which is held at your campus. The orientation is usually a few days before your course start date.
You must attend your TAFE NSW Institute from the first to the last day of semester or, for English Language students, on the first day to the last day of the course. If you are unable to attend college on the starting date or if you have to return home before your course finishes you must write a letter to the International Students Centre to let us know your reasons.
