Description

Develop your career in the events industry as an event manager, festival manager, sports event manager, arts event manager, corporate events manager, or similar.

Event managers perform a variety of management and marketing roles as well as assuming responsibility for the overall strategic management of the business. This includes preparing and implementing business plans; tendering and bidding for events, managing staff and volunteers; designing the layout of event sites and venues; event staging, developing operational plans for events, conducting event feasibility studies and managing sponsorship and event income options.

Entry Requirements

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Prerequisite: Diploma of Events (18075); OR have held paid or voluntary employment experience at a coordination or management level. As a minimum, employment experience must reflect the scope and range of competencies in a Diploma of Events.
  • Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 51 or Certificate 3 in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent
  • Academic IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (iBT) 68 or Certificate 3 in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent for Diploma-to-Degree courses (DIAC 573 visa requirement)
