High School Preparation Programs
These programs are for students aged 15 or over who want to study:
- for the Higher School Certificate (HSC) in a New South Wales (NSW) high school
- in TAFE NSW
- for the TAFE NSW Certificate in Tertiary Preparation.
It includes general English language skills as well as specific language for high school subjects. Students will learn the study skills needed to succeed in an Australian school environment. The course introduces students to the Australian school system, and to Australian culture.
Students’ progress in the course is very important. Regular examinations are held and reports are sent to the parents and guardian. Exit reports are also sent to the future school.

Guardianship
For all students under 18 years old, the parents must nominate a guardian who will be responsible for the student while in Australia. We can help arrange a guardian and homestay if the student does not have relatives in Sydney.
Introduction to English Preparation for High School

This program is for students who want to study the School Certificate in an Australian High School. It introduces you to Australian teaching and learning practices. It also teaches you about Australian culture and prepares you to communicate with schoolmates in an Australian High School. Areas covered include English language, study skills, English for key High School subjects, and orientation to Australian schools.

English Preparation for High School

This program is for students who want to study for the Higher School Certificate in an Australian high school or in TAFE NSW, or for the TAFE NSW Certificate in Tertiary Preparation. It develops to a higher level the knowledge and skills included in the Introduction to English Preparation for High School Program.
