Description

This course is for people who work, or want to work, in the events industry as an events manager, venue manager, conference manager or exhibitions manager. You will acquire wide-ranging, highly specialised technical event management skills with a strategic research, planning and communication focus.

Articulation

Learners who successfully complete this program are able to articulate with and receive credits for relevant units of competency from other qualifications in the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package (SIT07). Negotiations with the higher education sector for articulation from SIT60207 Advanced Diploma of Events (18076) have been initiated.

Entry Requirements

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Prerequisite: Diploma of Events (18075); OR Have held paid or voluntary employment experience at a coordination or management level.  As a minimum, employment experience must reflect the scope and range of competencies in a Diploma of Events
  • Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 51 or Certificate 3 in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent
  • Academic IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (iBT) 68 or Certificate 3 in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent for Diploma-to-Degree courses (DIAC 573 visa requirement)
