Description

This course is for people who want to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively operate in a wide range of business contexts across industry sectors. You can select electives from the areas of customer service, financial administration, general administration, interpersonal communication, marketing, project management, recordkeeping, risk management, relationship management, IT, e-business, among others.

Articulation

When you finish this course you may be eligible to do Diploma of Business (17805) or other specialist Diploma qualifications in the Business Services Training Package (BSB07) such as marketing, management or human resources.

Entry Requirements

  • Year 12 or Certificate 3 in Business (17803) or equivalent
  • Students applying for the Business package (1 Year) must complete Certificate 4 in Business (17804) and Diploma of Business (17805). Students who do not have the equivalence of the NSW Year 12 will need to apply for the Business Certificate 3 in Business (17803) (1.5 years in total)
  • Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 51 or Certificate 3 in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent

To receive the Certificate 4 in Business students must complete 1 core unit and 9 elective modules (Please note: no more than 4 units can be completed from Subgroup 2)
