How to Apply for University Pathways

To apply for a Diploma-to-Degree pathway, you need to complete two application forms, a TAFE NSW application form and a university application form. Below are seven steps you should follow to submit an application.

Choose a university pathway.

You can ApplyOnline for a Diploma-to-Degree pathway, but you must still complete a paper university application form (Step 3). Please download the application form for the relevant university, complete it and scan it to your computer folders. Complete the TAFE NSW ApplyOnline application. Upload the university application form with your other documents (e.g. academic transcript, English language test results) to your ApplyOnline application.

Step 3

Complete the appropriate university application form

Step 4

Submit both completed applications with certified documents online or by posting them to:

Step 5

DEC International Students staff will assess your application and send two provisional offer letters for the TAFE NSW diploma and the degree.

The TAFE NSW provisional offer will include an invoice statement which lists tuition fee payments, charges for airport pick-up and accommodation (if requested), visa length and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

The university provisional offer will state the credit you will receive for the TAFE NSW course, length and approximate costs of the degree.

Step 6

To accept the TAFE NSW and degree offers, you must forward to DEC International Students

• One semester’s tuition fee for the TAFE NSW course
• ELICOS course fees (if applicable)
• A$100 TAFE NSW registration fee (or A$150 registration fee for TAFE/English package)
• Overseas Student Health Cover - students must obtain OSHC for the proposed duration of their Student visa.
• Partial payment deposit for university course
  • ACU: A$2,000
  • SCU: A$1,000
  • UWS: A$2,000
• Completed offer acceptance forms.

Step 7

DEC International Students will send electronic Confirmation of Enrolments for TAFE NSW and the university you have applied for.
