About TAFE NSW

Study at an Institute of Technical and Further Education (TAFE) in New South Wales (NSW) and you'll be part of Australia's largest network of local and international students in one of the best locations in the world.

TAFE NSW is the largest education and training provider in the southern hemisphere. Over 1,200 practical, work-oriented training courses and intensive English programs are delivered to 500,000 students every year at our 130 campuses throughout Sydney and townships in NSW.

There are 300 approved courses for international students which are registered on CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of International Courses for Overseas Students) so you can be sure your TAFE NSW qualifications are accredited.

  • TAFE stands for Technical and Further Education. TAFE NSW is part of the vocational education and training (VET) system in Australia. In some countries, TAFE Institutes are known as polytechnic institutes, community colleges, or institutes of technology.
