International Student Coordinator
TAFE NSW staff understand what international students need.
Your International Student Coordinator:
- Organises your orientation program
- Meets you when you arrive at your TAFE NSW Institute
- Answers your questions about your studies
- Helps to solve your problems
- Helps you access other support services
You are given the name of your International Student Coordinator when you receive your offer letter for admission.

TAFE NSW Library Services
When you enrol at a TAFE NSW College, you receive a TAFEcard and access to many services to help you succeed with your studies.
- TAFEcard is your library card and gives you borrowing privileges at your College and also with a network of more than 100 TAFE NSW libraries.
- TAFE Studylinks helps you with internet research and you can access many websites selected to help you in your course.
- TAFEcat is the TAFE NSW Online Catalogue. With TAFEcat you can:
- access many learning materials and information resources, books and magazines, electronic databases, CDs, videos and other audiovisual items
- use TAFEcat to find out where books and resources are located within Australia's largest library network
- view your own library record and loan details
- find out when the books you have on loan are due back, or if the item you have reserved has arrived in the library
Your privacy is protected by a PIN (personal identification number).

- access to the internet for study and assignments
- reference services and interlibrary loans
- training sessions to help you locate library information

- individual and group study areas and rooms in the library
- photocopying and printing services
- through the National Reciprocal Borrowing Scheme, you can register for reciprocal library services with other TAFE libraries right across Australia
Childcare
Many TAFE NSW campuses have childcare centres for the children of teachers, students and members of the local community.
You can leave your child (aged from baby to 5 years of age) with qualified early childhood staff.
Your child enjoys a program of play and learning activities while you attend your classes.
Childcare costs from approximately A$28 to A$45 per day.
