North Coast Institute has a reputation as a world class education facility and has won many State and National Training Awards.

With 17 campuses on the northern coast of NSW, we are one of the largest vocational education and training providers in Australia, with over 40,000 students each year.
The Institute covers 700 kilometres from Byron Bay and Kingscliff (fifteen minutes from Gold Coast Airport) to Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. Most campuses have airport and regular bus transport services.
North Coast Institute is an innovative training provider which designs and delivers a wide range of education and training programs for international students.
All classes include Australian students to ensure international students experience the culture and language essential to an enjoyable study and social experience. We focus on assisting students to realise their individual education, career and life goals.
Our partnerships with other educational institutions provide students with a clear and achievable pathway into undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Australia.

Our campus locations include modern regional cities and towns, bustling resort complexes and peaceful seaside villages set amongst glorious tropical rainforests, beaches and scenic rural settings.
Students and visitors enjoy our temperate to sub-tropical climate which provides the perfect habitat for some of Australia's best-known animals including the koala and kangaroo. Dolphins and whales are also a regular sight along our coastline.
Our campuses are also located within the postcodes nominated by the Australia Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) as being 'regional areas' for the purposes of skilled migration.

Accredited University Degree Pathways
Our qualifications are highly regarded internationally and a large number of TAFE NSW North Coast Institute courses gives you credit (advanced standing) towards a university degree. TAFE NSW qualifications are available at Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Graduate Diploma levels. We also offer a range of support and counselling services to assist the transition to university.
Wide Range of Courses Taught by Industry Experts
We offer more than 80 courses across a wide range of study areas which provides our students with a competitive edge in the workforce, whether the goal is a career in Australia or overseas. We employ teachers from industry so students get access to up-to-date knowledge and practical skills.
There are also part-time or full-time English language courses available at the accredited North Coast Institute English Language Centres in Port Macquarie and Kingscliff.
Personal Service and Modern Facilities
During the first week of study you will receive an orientation to help you become familiar with the staff, facilities and services of the campus.
Campuses are equipped with:
- Modern classrooms and equipment
- Specialist training centres
- Tutorial support for students experiencing difficulties with English, mathematics or subject skills
- Student cafeterias/common areas
- Bookshop and modern library
- Computer and internet access, copying, printing and scanning facilities
- Study areas
- Special services for international students such as accommodation assistance (eg. a homestay program with an Australian family), pastoral care, assistance finding part-time work and career information and advice.
