Skilled Migration
Australia is a great place to live and work, and many international students wish to apply for permanent residency after they finish their studies.

The Australian government encourages highly-skilled individuals who have a high level of English language competency and skills in specific, high-demand occupational areas to apply for permanent residency under its General Skilled Migration program.
TAFE NSW offers many courses that may be suitable to support an application under the General Skilled Migration program.
There are a number of requirements to be eligible for skilled migration. Further information about the program is available on the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) website at www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/index.htm
TAFE NSW also strongly recommends that students seek advice from a registered migration agent if they are interested in skilled migration. A list of registered migration agents can be found on the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) website at www.mara.com.au
