TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute Ambassador Scholarship Announced

Ms Hertzel Herrera has been awarded the TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute International Student Ambassador Scholarship for 2009

TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute (NSI) and The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) are pleased to announce that Ms Hertzel Herrera has been awarded the Northern Sydney Institute International Student Ambassador Scholarship for 2009. Ms Herrera submitted an application that showed excellent academic achievement.

Hertzel was delighted to have been selected to study at NSI and has accepted the Scholarship offer to commence her studies in July 2009. She will complete the Diploma of Events. Hertzel will come to Australia from the Philippines.

THE-ICE and NSI wish to congratulate Hertzel for her excellent achievement.

“The aim of the scholarship program was to identify high achievers and provide them with an opportunity to study at TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute,” said Ms Virginia Williams, Manager of International Business, TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute.

“We are very excited to welcome Ms Herrera and look forward to welcoming more students from the Philippines,” said Ms Williams.

Ms Herrera will commence the Diploma of Events at Ryde campus in July 2009. The scholarship covers tuition fees for the length of her studies.

TAFE NSW, which stands for Technical and Further Education in New South Wales, is Australia’s largest education and training provider with 10 Institutes and 120 campuses located across Sydney and coastal and inland NSW cities.

TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute will be visiting the Philippines in November 2009 and will hold student seminar sessions in Manila and Cebu. All of the Northern Sydney Institute campus have a diverse group of international students and provide high quality services to international students.

TAFE NSW Institutes also offer other courses that meet the skills shortage in Australia. Course areas include Accounting, Community Welfare, Hairdressing, Horticulture and Fashion Design (dress making). TAFE NSW Institutes offer over 250 certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses.
