International students receive excellence awards
Three international students at TAFE NSW-Sydney Institute received Student Excellence Awards at a presentation ceremony held on 30 May 2008. These awards are bestowed on students who have achieved outstanding results in their course.
The successful international students are:
- Charyn Michelle Bello from Malaysia for Hairdressing (Salon Management )
- Genevier Rossouw from Canada for Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Shwu Ling Yong from the Philippines for Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
Over 400 guests attended the gala event including industry partners, sponsors, the NSW Minister for Education and Training, John Della Bosca, and the Director-General NSW Department of Education and Training, Michael Coutts-Trotter
The Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the success of Sydney Institute students and to extend the Institute’s relationships with industry, suppliers and the community.
