"I came to Australia on a working holiday visa and liked it so much I decided to stay. I found out I could get a decent qualification studying what I wanted and stay longer.
I considered a lot of colleges and chose TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute because it's in a great location in the centre of Sydney, close to my house and close to work. The facilities are brand new and the teachers are great – I have a much closer relationship with the staff than I did at home.
I got a part-time job straight away as Sydney Institute has an arrangement with the Accor Hotel chain and I was one of the successful candidates. I've already worked in five or six areas of the hotel.
The best thing about the course is the variety of careers it can lead to. There are about 20 different directions I can follow once I finish my course."
