Teacher Observation and Intensive English Study Tours - Adult

The Teacher Observation and Intensive English Study Tourprovides an opportunity for overseas visitors to combine their observations of classroom teaching practices in a NSW government school with a structured English program delivered in a TAFE NSW English Language Centre. Activities include:

• placement with a participating school
• a structured English language program
• a school observation program which will include:
  • professional discussion and lesson observation with host teachers
  • overview of school operational and administrative functions
• presentations on state-wide teacher support programs
• visits to centres responsible for teacher support
• use of the facilities of a TAFE English Language Centres
• organised cultural activities
• participation certificate at conclusion of program

Group size

• minimum group size is 15 teachers

Duration

• Two to four weeks

• during New South Wales school terms
