Adult Study Tours

Presentation by education specialist

Adult professional visits

International educators and government officers may request a visit to a State Directorate or school for the purposes of professional development and to make comparisons with their own education system.

We can coordinate a range of activities suited to the professional learning needs of each group, including:

  • General or specific topic presentations about the NSW government education system. Specialists can be sourced from within the Department to deliver presentations and facilitate question and answer sessions on specific topics including school sports, student welfare, vocational education in schools, finance or curriculum support.
  • School visits to view policy in practice, or to observe classes and teaching methods
  • Meetings with appropriate staff including principals or specialist teachers

Adult professional visits have a minimum group size of 10 participants.

Teacher observation

Teacher observation sessions can be arranged for a minimum group size of 2 participants. This option is popular for teacher trainees undertaking Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) training who wish to observe school based instruction.

DET International will customise a program to suit your learning needs. Adult study tour costs are calculated based on the group size, duration of the visit and the services requested.
