DET International provides a range of customised education and training services to educational institutions, government agencies, corporations and industry groups internationally across a wide range of small to large-scale projects.
We provide ease of access to the resources and capacity of one of the largest government education and training providers in the world – the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET).
With access to Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes and government schools in New South Wales (NSW), our services extend to both adult vocational education and training (VET) and school (kindergarten to high school) education sectors.
Our world-class education and training system includes:
TAFE NSW:
- A network of over 130 training colleges throughout NSW across 10 TAFE institutes. Campuses provide state-of-the-art facilities, simulated work environments, latest technologies and an extensive support network for students
- Over 2,400 vocational training courses offering more than 1,200 nationally recognised qualifications from Certificate to Graduate Diploma level
- TAFE NSW courses provide practical, work-related skills and are developed in conjunction with industry to meet evolving workforce requirements
- TAFE NSW graduates can articulate with credit transfer to bachelor degree courses at Australian universities
- Over 460,000 students currently are enrolled in award programs, with an additional 415,000 students enrolled in community education programs and 32,000 students studying by distance education
NSW Government Schools:
- 2,200 primary and secondary schools with over 760,000 student enrolments
- Over 65,000 students in Year 12 (18 years of age) sit for the Higher School Certificate examination each year for matriculation to Australian universities, TAFE NSW institutes and other tertiary colleges
