Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games

TAFE NSW was the Official Training Services Supporter for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this role, TAFE NSW provided:

  • Orientation, venue and job specific training for 65,000 volunteers, and management training for paid staff
  • Customised training for official sponsors, service providers, contractors and government agencies

Since that time TAFE NSW has, through DEC International, played a key role in delivering the following Games and large events services:

Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games

  • Training needs analyses, master plan and action plans, customised job specific training modules for over 1,200 job roles, and event and venue training modules for the Athens Organising Committee for the Olympic Games
  • Training needs analyses, training master plan, ‘train the trainer’ program and training modules for two official telecommunications sponsors

Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games
